Bernier (lower body) indicated Monday that he's doing better, but remains day-to-day, David Alter of the National Post reports.

EDGE Analysis

Bernier has sat out each of the last four contests because of the issue, resulting in his placement on injured reserve and the recall of Antoine Bibeau. While he appears to be closing in on a return to the team, it's unclear exactly when that will occur. His next chance will come Tuesday against the Stars, but it seems more likely that he will sit that out, as he only got in a shortened practice Monday.
