Ben Eager is going to get a chance to crack the Oilers' lineup next season. He was sent to the AHL during the season and has one year left on his contract. He could provide Edmonton with some extra grit. "I think Ben is at the 'show-me' stage," said Oilers general manager Craig MacTavish, adding a job is his to win, not lose. "He's not going to be given the job and have to prove that he can't do it. He has to really have a good training camp and really make a case to Dallas (Eakins) that he's going to be able to contribute in those areas."
