Bastian signed his entry-level contract with the Devils in October, but he has just 13 goals and 41 points in 47 games for the Steelheads. He's a big body (6-foot-4, 220 pounds) who excels at winning battles on the wall, but he has limited offensive ability. The odds are no better than 50/50 that he turns into a regular at the NHL level.
