Barbashev was promoted to the top line for Thursday's game against Florida, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. He had an assist and one shot on goal over 13:26 of ice time in the Blues' 6-3 win over the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Barbashev has been relegated to third- and fourth-line duty since joining the Blues in early February, earning the confidence of the coaching staff who now feel the 21-year-old center is capable of performing in a top-six role. Over his last 12 games, Barbashev has two goals and five assists. The pace of scoring should pick up if he remains on a line with Vladimir Tarasenko and Jaden Schwartz.
