Backstrom (illness) was placed on injured reserve Saturday. With Backstrom still under the weather, the Wild went ahead and brought John Curry up to provide some short-term depth behind Darcy Kuemper. Backstrom will be eligible to return Monday against Winnipeg, but it's uncertain if he'll be ready by that time.
