Backstrom gave up four goals on 38 shots during Tuesday's 5-3 loss in Chicago. This wasn't a bad outing for Backstrom despite the not-so-pretty stat line, but there's no getting around the fact that he's given up 11 goals on 87 shots (an .874 save mark) over his last three starts. Assuming Darcy Kuemper's undisclosed ailment isn't serious, Backstrom will likely retake a seat on the bench Wednesday against Boston.
