Backstrom didn't play well Tuesday, giving up four goals on 19 shots, but he got saved by his offense, which put up four unanswered goals in the third period to come away with a 5-4 win. Not a pretty outing for Backstrom -- in fact, the four goals allowed represent a season high for the 36-year-old. He's generally been respectable, but the Wild seem committed to Darcy Kuemper in the starting role, and this won't help Backstrom's case.
