A strong finish (31 points over the final 42 games) propelled Backlund to a career-high 47 points last year, and he's off to a respectable start in 2016-17, too. The 27-year-old pivot doesn't provide significant production in the peripheral statistics, though, and he's often tasked with matching up against the opposition's best players.
