Backlund is not on the ice for Monday's pregame warmups and is not expected to play against the Jets, Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun reports. Backlund is currently dealing with an illness and this will be the first game that he's forced off the ice because of the ailment. His next opportunity play will come against the Sharks on Wednesday.
