Backes left Monday's game against the Panthers with an unspecified injury and it's still unclear whether or not he'll return to the ice, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports. Backes should be considered day-to-day until the Blues release further information about his injury. If he is unable to make a return to the ice Monday, his next opportunity to prove his health will be against the Islanders on Thursday.
