Backes followed up his four-goal Tuesday by potting another goal and adding an assist in Thursday's win over the Sharks. Sure, the goal in particular was meaningless, being the final tally in a 7-2 shellacking, but that's still six points in two games for Backes, who's suddenly heating up in a big way after a rough start to the year offensively.
