The Canadiens recalled Leskinen from his loan with KalPa Kuopio of the Finnish Liiga.

Leskinen will battle for a spot on the 23-man roster. The 23-year-old blueliner played in five games with the Habs last year and didn't register a point. He has impressed with KalPa, however, posting four goals and six assists over 17 games.
