As expected, Nicklas Lidstrom doesn't appear to be spending much time thinking about his eventual retirement. Lidstrom decided to play for at least one more season after he signed a one-year/$6.2 million contract extension in June. Although Lidstrom recorded 62 points and won the Norris Trophy in 2010-11, the mere fact that he's 41 makes curious about his future plans. Not surprisingly, right now he isn't thinking that long-term. "It's the same approach as last year: just one season at a time and, you know, I'm not looking too far ahead," Lidstrom said. "I'm just looking forward to the season."
