Antti Niemi only allowed one goal, but was saddled with the loss in the St. Louis Blues' 1-0 defeat of the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night. Beyond the wrister from Kevin Shattenkirk that beat him on the short side, Niemi was perfect in net. It didn't matter, however, as his teammates could do nothing to get by the brick wall that was Brian Elliot. Niemi's record dropped to 11-6-1 on the season, but his 2.27 goals-against average and .921 save percentage remain very solid. He hasn't allowed more than two goals in his last three outings. The Sharks have one just twice in their last 11 games.
