Antti Niemi looked a bit shaky in Game 1, turning aside just 18 shots in the Sharks 2-0 loss on Tuesday. Niemi was particularly impressive in the Sharks opening round sweep of Vancouver, so this result could just be a result of rust, as San Jose hadn't played in a week. He did keep his team in the game, but received no offensive help, largely due to his goaltending counterpart's performance.
