Antti Niemi and the San Jose Sharks managed to gain a charity point against the Calgary Flames but still lost 3-2 in OT. Niemi is a disconcerting 1-3-3 in his last seven games and 4-8-4 in his last 16 contests. The odds still seem in the Sharks' favor to at least make the playoffs, although losses like these won't help.
