Anton Volchenkov has resumed playing in the KHL after breaking a bone in his left foot in mid-October. Volchenkov was in danger of being suspended without pay had he still been injured when the lockout ended. Obviously the two sides couldn't come to terms in the time it took Volchenkov's bone to heal. He's played in five games with the KHL Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo.
