Anton Volchenkov exited Monday's devastating loss to Florida early in the first period following a shoulder hit from the Panthers' Shawn Matthias 2:38 into the game. He suffered a cut to the lip and had a bloody forehead, which he apparently sustained when he hit the ice. Volchenkov required 10-12 stitches to close the wound and his night ended with him playing just one shift. Stay tuned.
