Anton Volchenkov earned an assist, one blocked shot and three hits in New Jersey's shootout win versus Winnipeg on Sunday. "He was outstanding tonight," coach Pete DeBoer said. "When he's on his game like that he's a real presence out there with his physical play and some of those things. Standing in front of some of the shots he's standing in front of takes a lot of courage." His only credited block came on a hard shot from Winnipeg's Evander Kane early in the third and although it appeared to hurt him, he stayed in the game and didn't miss a shift.
