Antii Niemi played well in net on Tuesday, as he stopped 25 of the 27 shots he faced in San Jose's 3-2 shootout victory over Colorado. Niemi allowed a goal with under five minutes remaining in the third, which eventually sent the game into overtime. However, he bounced back in overtime and in the shootout to secure the win for the Sharks. It's been a rollercoaster year for Niemi. He's been fairly consistent in net, but not in the wins column. He started the year with six straight wins in January, and then dropped seven of his next eight contests in February. Hopefully he can turn his strong efforts into wins once again.
