Antero Niittymaki's second conditioning stint is being viewed as a showcase for other teams to see that he can play following off-season hip surgery. He sat as the team's third goaltender after returning from his previous three-game conditioning stint on Dec. 23. He didn't play any matches or dress as the backup while with San Jose.
