Antero Niittymaki has been hired as a scout for the Philadelphia Flyers. "You don't need to spend much time with Antero to get a feel for his knowledge of all aspects of the game, and what it takes to play at the highest level," Philadelphia GM Paul Holmgren said. Niittymaki was drafted by the Flyers in 1998 and he skated in 234 career NHL contests. He's expected to work primarily in Europe and look at European goaltending options.
