Andrew Shaw has been summoned by the Chicago Blackhawks. Shaw's promotion immediately follows him being inked to an entry-level contract. The 2011 fifth round pick might make his NHL debut on Thursday. He could be a valuable source of penalty minutes, as well as a moderate amount of points, in a few seasons, but he isn't likely to play in many games with Chicago in 2011-12.
