Andrew Shaw has been assessed a six-game suspension by the AHL for leaving the players' bench for the purpose of starting an altercation. The incident occurred at the end of the second period on Nov. 3 against Lake Erie. Shaw came to the defense of Dylan Olsen, who received a two-game ban for an illegal check to the head in the same match. Shaw had 23 points in 37 games with the Chicago Blackhawks last season, but he is also known for playing a physical style which was evidenced by his 50 penalty minutes and 82 hits.
