Andrew MacDonald will likely be dealt by the trade deadline according to Arthur Staple of Newsday. MacDonald is looking for $5 million per season in a new contract and it appears unlikely that the Islanders will cough up that kind of money. Staple thinks the Islanders can get a first rounder for the defenseman and he also thinks that Matt Donavan will get the recall in the event MacDonald is sent elsewhere.
