Andrew MacDonald has been given several "maintenance days" to rest his surgically repaired hip, but he has played in all four games at the beginning of the 2011-12 season. "After you go through games and stuff, it just tightens up a little bit," he said. "Just kind of give a day of rest here and there. In October, the schedule is kind of light, so it's a good time to take advantage of it." The rest he has been given is for precautionary reasons. He has one goal on three shots so far this campaign.
