Andrew Ladd didn't seem thrilled that Boston's Jeremy Jacobs and Calgary's Murray Edwards are two of the owners that will be involved in Tuesday's meeting with some players.
"I can't see (the owners) message changing in this meeting, to be honest with you," said Ladd. "It will be nice to have some different ears in there and let them hear what we have to say. By now, we know (the NHL) is driven by the guys that have been around a long time and they do things a certain way." Jacobs and Edwards are known as owners with hard-line approaches. However, some Winnipeg players were glad to see Jets owner Mark Chipman included in the discussion because he can provide a fresh point of view.
