Andrew Ference didn't want to discuss his one-game suspension for hitting Toronto's Mikhail Grabovski in the head. "You've just got to accept it, and move on," said Ference. He added, "I know you guys want something special, but honestly it was about the discussion between Peter, myself and the league yesterday. It really doesn't matter what I think. The criteria of which [hits] are or aren't reviewed, or which [hits are] played on the TV a million times. That's not my job. The decision has been made." Ference also expressed confidence that his teammates would compensate for his absence.
