Andrew Cogliano has agreed to a three-year/$7.17 million contract extension with the Anaheim Ducks. Cogliano and the Ducks have managed to avoid arbitration by agreeing to a long-term deal. He had 11 goals and 35 points in 82 games with Edmonton last season and the Ducks acquired his negotiating rights in exchange for a 2013 second round draft pick. He's projected to serve as Anaheim's third line center, but he might get some playing time on one of the Ducks' top two lines as circumstances dictate.
