Andrei Kostitsyn was suspended for one game at the IIHF World Hockey Championships in Belarus. Kostitsyn, who is playing for the host country Belarus, checked American Kevin Donovan from behind and delivered a two-handed cross-check to the head and neck area in Friday's 6-1 loss to the U.S. Kostitsyn's NHL rights are owned by the Panthers.
