Andersen was stellar, making 27 saves to shutout the Avalanche in the Ducks first game of the preseason. Andersen helped his case for opening the season as the No. 1 netminder, although this is one goaltending battle we will be monitoring closely. John Gibson will get his shot to impress the coaching staff as well, after posting incredible numbers in last season's postseason.
