Allen will start in net against the Avalanche, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Allen has received most of the starts in net recently following the injury to Brian Elliott. He is coming off a decent start in net, saving 27 of the 30 shots he faced. He will look for a strong finish Tuesday with a three-day Christmas break on the horizon.
