Allen made 21 saves on 23 tries in Tuesday's win over the Kings -- his third straight victory. Allen has been distinctly unspectacular this season, significantly underperforming relative to the expectations he set with his spectacular efforts for AHL Chicago last season, but perhaps this little stretch of winning hockey will give him some more confidence to stop pucks at a more impressive rate going forward. Allen's on a one-way contract this year, so it's unclear what the Blues will do with him and Martin Brodeur once Brian Elliott (knee) is ready to return, which should be soon.
