Alexei Ponikarovsky sustained an undisclosed injury late in the second period Tuesday night and was forced to leave the game. Coach Pete DeBoer said after the contest that the team would know about Ponikarovsky's status today. He has generated one goal and four assists in 17 games with the Devils since being acquired from Winnipeg.
