Alexei Ponikarovsky (lower body) participated in Friday's practice. Coach Pete DeBoer said Ponikarovsky won't play against Florida on Saturday. "I just want to get in a quick spin out there and see how I felt, see where I'm at," said the Devils winger. "I'm just taking it day-by-day and we'll see how it goes." He missed Thursday's game after getting hurt on Tuesday night.
