Akim Aliu will be hoping to crack Calgary's lineup at training camp and provide some grit to a team that appears to be lacking in that category. "You know what? Obviously, I take a lot of pride in being able to come in and be that grit guy, get under the other team's skin," he said. "But what pisses off teams most is if you can do that and also put up numbers on the scoreboard. If you combine those two things, I can be effective for the Flames. Hopefully I get an opportunity. That's all I'm asking for." Aliu had three points and 12 penalty minutes in two games with the Flames last season, so he gave the team a sneak peak at what he can bring to the table.
