Adam was acquired by the Blue Jackets on Tuesday in exchange for forward Jerry D'Amigo. In an exchange of low-end prospects, Adam will join a Blue Jackets organization that could end up finding a spot for him in their bottom-six ranks at some point later this season. For now, he'll stay in the AHL and report to Springfield. Adam had eight goals and 20 points over 27 games with the Sabres' AHL affiliate in Rochester.
