According to a source, Tim Thomas will agree to sign a professional tryout with the Florida Panthers. The deal may be reached as soon as today. If this is accurate then he will touch down in South Florida shortly to take a physical and undergo some medical testing before an agreement is reached. He will be a solid addition to the team if he can prove that his year away from the game didn't slow him down, but Florida's goaltending situation will still have plenty of question marks enter this season.
