According to a report from a Belarussian sports website Goals.by, Andrei Kostitsyn has a strained relationship with Montreal coach Jacques Martin. "I can't guess about next season," Kostitsyn said to Goals.by. "My relationship with the coach is not too good. It wasn't me who started to play badly. It's just that I was being put into (the) third and fourth line...I've tried talking to (Jacques Martin) more than once. But he doesn't care." Martin had a similarly rocky relationship with Sergei Kostitsyn before he was traded to Nashville, but Andrei said he just wants to play and not worry about going elsewhere.
