Jones missed practice Wednesday due to a sore left wrist, Carter Baum of the Blackhawks' official site reports.

Jones' injury, combined with that of Wyatt Kalynuk (ankle), will serve to stretch the Hawks' blue line with Opening Night just a week away. Even if Jones is cleared to play ahead of the Oct. 13 matchup with Colorado, he may have to watch from the press box as a healthy scratch periodically in favor of Calvin de Haan and Nicolas Beaudin.
