Abdelkader (hand) will not play Thursday against the Canadiens, MLive.com's Ansar Khan reports. As was expected, Abdelkader didn't take part in the Red Wings' morning skate and will be forced to sit out a third straight game. The Red Wings have yet to rule him out for the regular-season finale Saturday against the Hurricanes, but Abdelkader may need to resume practicing Friday to have a shot at playing in that contest.
