Andersen allowed four goals on 28 shots Thursday before being pulled in the third period. The Blue Jackets defeated the Canes, 6-0.
EDGE Analysis
The Blue Jackets were relentless all night, but the Great Dane was solid, allowing just two goals heading into the third. And then the floodgates opened. We suspect the pull was an attempt to fire up the Canes, but that didn't work either. Andersen will be absolutely fine -- he was named to the All-Star team earlier Thursday. That's how good he has been since ditching Toronto for Raleigh. Sure looks like that was a good idea.

Andersen allowed three goals on 39 shots in Friday's 6-3 win over the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen has won his last seven appearances. He had to weather an early storm from the Flames, who cashed in just one of 21 shots in the first period before the Hurricanes' offense took over. The Danish goalie is now 18-5-0 with a 1.97 GAA and a .929 save percentage in 23 games. He should be good to go as the Hurricanes primary starter going forward after he was eased back into action following a stint in the COVID-19 protocols.

Andersen stopped eight of nine shots after replacing Antti Raanta to begin the second period of Saturday's 7-4 win over the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen entered the game with the 'Canes down 3-0, but he saw very little work as Carolina dominated play over the final 40 minutes and eventually erupted for five goals in the third period. It still counts as a win on his ledger, though -- his 17th of the season -- and the veteran netminder's 1.92 GAA and .929 save percentage remain excellent as well.

Andersen has cleared the COVID-19 protocols and will serve as backup to Antti Raanta in Thursday's home game versus the Canadiens, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen entered the protocols Dec. 22, but changes to the guidelines regarding quarantine time allow the Dane to suit up Thursday. He'll likely get in a practice before potentially starting Saturday versus the Blue Jackets.

Andersen was designated for the NHL's COVID-19 protocols Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Andersen is riding a five-game winning streak during which he posted a 1.58 GAA but will now be in danger of missing out when the team returns to action versus Florida on Monday. If the veteran netminder is unable to play, Antti Raanta should be expected to carry the load for the club for the time being.
