Francis Wathier has agreed to a two-year, two-way deal with the Dallas Stars. Wathier had 42 points and 94 penalty minutes in 75 AHL games last season. He'll provided the Stars with some organizational depth, but he isn't expected to get much, if any playing time at the NHL level over the life of his new contract.

It's possible that Wathier, who is 27 and has now played in nine career NHL games, could stick with the Stars until the All-Star break.
