Bouillon signed with Ambri-Piotta-NLA of Switzerland on Wednesday, TSN reports. The soon-to-be 39-year-old Bouillon figures to end his playing career in Europe, after the Canadiens released him from his training camp tryout in October. Bouillon tallied two goals and six points over 52 games with the Habs last season.

The Canadiens released Bouillon on Monday. The veteran blueliner has never been much of an offensive threat, and after tallying just two goals and four assists in 52 games last season, it appears his NHL career may be over.

Bouillon, who has been skating with the Canadiens during preseason, is competing for the final spot on defense with rookie Jarred Tinordi, the Montreal Gazette reports. After the Canadiens sent Greg Pateryn down to Hamilton of the American Hockey League, it only leaves Bouillon and Tinordi on the major league roster. Tinordi has had a rough camp, turning pucks over and taking stupid penalties. It might be best for him to take regular turns in the AHL while Bouillon becomes the seventh defenseman.

Bouillon will skate with the Canadiens during training camp, the Montreal Gazette reports. Bouillon, who was with the Canadiens in 2013-14, was not signed in the offseason. If he makes the opening-night roster, it would be mean something has gone wrong with the development of younger defensemen like Nathan Beaulieu, Jarred Tinordi or Greg Pateryn.

Francis Bouillon is eligible for unrestricted free agency on July 1. The 38-year-old defenseman said he isn't ready to retire yet, so he'll probably be looking for employment elsewhere in a couple of months. Bouillon skated in 52 games with the Canadiens during the regular season and he appeared in nine playoff matches.

Francis Bouillon found the back of the net during Montreal's 3-2 overtime loss to the New York Rangers in Game 4. He was appearing in his first contest since Game 2 against Boston. The goal was his second of the postseason and it could keep him in the lineup for Game 5 on Tuesday night. Bouillon finished the match with 12:23 of ice time.

As some anticipated, it looks like Francis Bouillon will replace Nathan Beaulieu in the Montreal Canadiens' lineup against the New York Rangers in Game 4 on Sunday. This isn't a move that should have been fantasy implications, although Bouillon enters a series where the Rangers have dominated many stretches. He'll need to be up to speed right away.

Francis Bouillon might be in the lineup for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final on Sunday. He practiced with Mike Weaver Saturday, which could mean that Nathan Beaulieu will take a seat in the press box. Bouillon hasn't played since Game 2 of the opening round versus Boston.

Francis Bouillon was a healthy scratch for the Canadiens again in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Final. He hasn't played since Game 2 against Boston, as Montreal went with Doug Murray for a little instead before switching to youngster Nathan Beaulieu recently. Bouillon has one goal and a plus-4 rating in six playoff appearances.

Francis Bouillon found the back of the net in Thursday's double overtime victory over Boston. The Canadiens took a 1-0 lead in the series even though it wasn't Bouillon's tally that held up as the game winner. He scored at the 12:09 mark of the third period, but the Bruins fought back to tie the game in the final two minutes of regulation. The undersized, tenacious blueliner has five hits, five blocks and a plus-6 rating in five playoff contests.
