Eric Brewer played in his 900th career game Tuesday night.
"I think anytime you start getting a few more games than the average career, I think it's certainly something to just reflect on a little bit, have your cup of coffee and enjoy it, and from there you kind of carry on," he said. "But I'm happy, I enjoy coming to the rink, going to work and I enjoy being with the guys." Brewer has been playing on Tampa Bay's third pairing in 2013-14. In 12 games, he has two assists, 18 hits and a plus-3 rating.

Eric Brewer had an assist on Sunday.
Brewer has four goals and 12 points in 42 games this season. He's a well-rounded defenseman, but isn't worth owning in standard fantasy leagues. It's a different story in leagues that use hits and blocked shots as categories.

Eric Brewer will return to play his former squad in St. Louis on Saturday.
Brewer, former captain of the Blues, has found a nice new home in Tampa Bay. With injuries on the backend Brewer is their number one defenseman, getting the bulk of crucial minutes. "Right now, he's not only logging minutes, he's doing everything right; power play, penalty kill, five-on-five against the top lines," Lightning head coach Guy Boucher said. "And what I like he is teaching and helping guys like (Matt) Gilroy to catch up to the way we play. So it's meant a lot (to have Brewer around since training camp), not just on the ice but off ice for our progression, for sure."

Eric Brewer will be able to suit up in Thursday's game versus the Islanders after missing practice on Wednesday because of what coach Guy Boucher referred to as "some swelling."
"It's just the day-to-day of the season and everybody is going to have something at some point and I just felt that I needed to address," said Brewer. "I could have practiced (Wednesday). I just wanted to throw a few questions by some people and carry on; I felt fine out there (on the ice Thursday) morning." Keep him in your lineup uf you normally would.

Eric Brewer is considered questionable for Thursday's home game against the New York Islanders because of an upper-body injury.
He missed practice Wednesday due to the ailment and is listed as day-to-day. Brewer was not hurt in Monday's loss to Florida and he skated with the team on Tuesday, so it's unclear when this injury occurred. Stay tuned for more.
