Pettersson scored a goal on six shots in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
The Canucks' third goal belonged to Quinn Hughes for a while, but it was eventually changed to Pettersson. That ended a three-game point drought for Pettersson, who is still struggling to find consistency on offense. He's at a mere five points with 21 shots on net, 16 hits, 11 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating through 11 appearances this season, though he remains in a top-six role.

Pettersson scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Penguins.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson's goal was the first of three by the Canucks in a span of 1:05, turning a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 lead. The center has a goal and two assists during his three-game point streak, though he still isn't looking particularly explosive on offense. He's at four points, 11 shots on net, 12 hits, seven blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating through seven outings this season.

Pettersson picked up an assist in Saturday's 3-0 win over Philadephia.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson is off to a wobbly start. The assist was his second point of the season, and he has no goals. It's convenient to hang his slow start on the hangover from his lucrative new contract. But Pettersson hasn't scored an even-strength goal in 30 games, including the playoffs. He has played 450:29 even-strength time on ice in that span, recording just 32 shots. Vancouver will go as far as Pettersson can take them, and right now, he's scuffling.

Pettersson notched a power-play assist in Wednesday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson helped out on the first of Brock Boeser's two goals in the game. Last season, Pettersson earned 31 of his 89 points on the power play, so it figures to remain a large part of his production in 2024-25. The Swedish center added 125 hits, 68 blocked shots and 207 shots on net in 2023-24, with the added physical play helping to offset some of his step back on offense from a 102-point campaign in 2022-23.

Pettersson registered two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 4-1 preseason win over the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson helped out on a Carson Soucy tally in the first period as well as Jake DeBrusk's empty-netter in the third. Entering 2024-25, Pettersson is expected to be a major contributor for the Canucks. His 2023-24 was a tale of two halves -- he produced 64 points in 49 games before the All-Star break, then stumbled to the finish line with just 31 points over 46 games between the regular season and playoffs after the schedule resumed. Fantasy managers plopping down a second-round pick for the 25-year-old will hope that he is consistently closer to his first-half performance in 2024-25, especially after he flashed 100-point potential in 2022-23.

Pettersson recorded an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 6.
EDGE Analysis
This was Pettersson's second straight game with a helper, but he still hasn't been producing at the expected level. For the postseason, he's at six points, 20 shots, 23 hits, 11 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 12 appearances. He's at least looked a little better since moving to the wing alongside Elias Lindholm.

Pettersson recorded an assist, three shots on goal and two PIM in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Oilers in Game 5.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson was held off the scoresheet in the previous two games, and he nearly came up empty Thursday as well. The 25-year-old was able to contribute the secondary helper on J.T. Miller's game-winning goal in the final minute of the contest. Pettersson has underwhelmed this postseason with a goal, four assists, 18 shots on net, 22 hits and a minus-1 rating over 11 appearances. He shifted to the wing Thursday, and Elias Lindholm moved up to center the second line.

Pettersson scored a power-play goal on two shots and added two hits in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson opened the scoring at 4:14 of the first period. The tally was his first since April 10, and he managed just four helpers and 13 shots on net over the 10 contests between goals. Pettersson is at four points, 13 shots on net and 16 hits through eight postseason appearances, which is not great production from a top-six center who posted 34 goals and 89 points in the regular season.

Pettersson (illness) will play Wednesday in Game 1 versus the Oilers, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pettersson should slot into his usual spots on the second line and first power-play unit Wednesday. The 25-year-old pivot was a bit pedestrian in the first round against the Predators, picking up just three helpers across six outings after racking up 34 goals and 89 points through 82 regular-season contests.

Pettersson isn't practicing Tuesday due to an illness, leaving his status for Wednesday's Game 1 versus Edmonton in doubt, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
EDGE Analysis
After racking up 34 goals and 89 points through 82 regular-season outings, Pettersson was a bit of a disappointment during Vancouver's first-round series win over the Predators, picking up three helpers while firing just eight shots on net through six contests. Another update on his status for Game 1 will likely surface following Wednesday's morning skate.
