DeMelo (lower body) practiced in a regular jersey Monday, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
While it's far from a guarantee, the fact that DeMelo was cleared for contact is certainly a step in the right direction. If the defenseman is held out versus the Flyers on Tuesday, he will have until after the All-Star break to get back to 100 percent.

DeMelo (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
DeMelo won't be eligible to return until next Tuesday's game versus the Flyers. The 28-year-old defenseman has just four points in 36 contests, so he's unlikely to be missed much in fantasy.

DeMelo (lower body) won't be an option against the Panthers on Tuesday though coach Dave Lowry still classified the blueliner as day-to-day, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
DeMelo has just one point in his last 21 games, so few fantasy players should be impacted by continued absence. Even once cleared to play, DeMelo figures to remain a low-end fantasy target.

DeMelo (lower body) was ruled out for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh, Sara Orlesky of TSN.ca reports.

DeMelo has averaged 16:09 of ice time and tallied four points over 36 appearances this season. An update on the 28-year-old's status should be available prior to Tuesday's tilt versus Florida.

DeMelo exited the NHL's COVID-19 protocols Thursday, per Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun.
EDGE Analysis
DeMelo has averaged 15:38 of ice time and has recorded four points over 32 appearances this season. He will return from protocols having missed one game. Due to DeMelo's return, Nate Schmidt will likely see a reduction in minutes from his last outing.

Coach Dave Lowry said DeMelo (COVID-19) will be a game-time decision Thursday in Detroit, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The defenseman has been in COVID-19 protocols since last Thursday. DeMelo's being a game-time decision suggests he's cleared protocols but may not be conditioned to take the ice Thursday. If unavailable Thursday, he'd presumably re-enter the lineup Saturday versus Ottawa.

DeMelo notched an assist, three hits, two blocked shots and a minus-2 rating in Sunday's 5-4 overtime win over the Golden Knights.
EDGE Analysis
DeMelo helped out on a Paul Stastny goal in the third period. The assist snapped a 15-game point drought for DeMelo, who is typically more of a defensive presence on the Jets' blue line. The 28-year-old is up to four points, 40 hits, 33 blocks, 28 shots on net and a plus-2 rating through 31 contests. With such limited offense, he's not much of a factor in fantasy.

DeMelo registered an assist and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
DeMelo has points in consecutive games for the first time since the end of the regular season last year. This season, he's produced three points, 19 hits, 18 blocked shots, 13 shots on net and a plus-4 rating in 15 contests. He's never had more than 22 points in a season, and the early returns in 2021-22 haven't indicated a breakout is coming for the Ontario native.

DeMelo was dealing with a groin injury and was hoping to be back in the lineup for Game 6 or 7, Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Considering DeMelo was looking to play again in this series, his groin injury shouldn't be an issue heading into the 2021-22 campaign. For the second straight year, DeMelo failed to score a goal but still tally nine assists, 76 hits and 58 blocks in 52 games while averaging 16:58 of ice time. DeMelo could provide some value in formats that prioritize defensive stats but should otherwise be considered a low-end fantasy option.
