Tokarski made 30 saves in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Blue Jackets on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
His mates staked him to a 3-1 lead just 12 seconds into the third, but the wheels came off from that point forward. Brendan Gaunce beat Tokarski five-hole from a bad angle from the left circle at the 4:48 mark of the third to cut the score to 3-2. Then Oliver Bjorkstrand tied it from near the left post on the power play to knot it at 3-3. Then in overtime, Jakub Voracek took a drop pass, picked up a bit of speed through the neutral zone, and then beat Tokarski with a wrist shot from the top of the right circle. It was just Voracek's second goal of in 43 games this season. His last win was Nov. 26. That's pretty much all you need to know about that.

Tokarski will defend the cage Thursday against visiting Columbus, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Tokarski's most recent appearance was in a 4-1 loss to Colorado on Jan. 30, when he stopped 32 of 35 shots on goal. The 32-year-old has posted a 4-6-3 record, 3.27 GAA and .904 save percentage over 15 appearances this season. Columbus is coming off a 5-4 victory over Washington on Tuesday. As visitors in 2021-22, the Blue Jackets have averaged 29.7 shots on goal and 3.05 goals for alongside a 9-12-0 record.

Tokarski stopped 32 of 35 shots in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Avalanche. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
EDGE Analysis
This was Tokarski's first appearance in two months. The 32-year-old goalie did fairly well given the strength of the Avalanche's offense, but it wasn't anywhere near good enough to win. Tokarski dropped to 4-6-3 with a 3.27 GAA and a .904 save percentage through 15 appearances. The veteran goalie will likely serve as backup to Craig Anderson going forward, although both netminders are risky options in fantasy given the quality of the team in front of them.

Tokarski will be stationed between the pipes for Sunday's game in Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Tokarski will make his first appearance since Nov. 29 after a stint on the COVID-19 list and a month of practice. The 32-year-old is 4-5-3 with a 3.28 GAA and a .903 save percentage in 14 games this season. He'll be thrust back into a tough matchup against the league's highest-scoring offense.

Tokarski (COVID-19 protocols) was activated from the non-roster list Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Tokarski will be available to back up Craig Anderson in Saturday's game versus the Sabres. The 32-year-old Tokarski may still need some time before he's game-ready -- the Sabres entered Saturday with few options available in net.

Tokarski (COVID-19 protocols) will join the Sabres for their three-game road trip, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Whether Tokarski actually gets onto the ice remains to be seen but the fact that he will be on the road with the club is certainly a step in the right direction. With Craig Anderson (upper body) nearing a return to action as well, Tokarski could be in line to serve as the No. 2 option coming out of the All-Star break.

Tokarski (COVID-19 protocols) was labeled day-to-day by coach Don Granto and could be an option to back up against Arizona or Colorado on Saturday or Sunday, respectively, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Buffalo could certainly use some good news on the goalie front after Aaron Dell was handed a three-game suspension for interference. As of now, Michael Houser remains the only healthy netminder on the Sabres' active roster and will likely be pressed into service versus the Coyotes on Saturday, though no starter has been officially announced.

Tokarski (not injury related) was on the ice for Monday's practice session, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tokarski has been sidelined since Nov. 29 after testing positive for COVID-19 and continues to work his way back into game fitness. Even if the netminder is ready to go versus New Jersey on Wednesday, he could find himself demoted to the reinstated taxi squad following the team's addition of Malcolm Subban.

Tokarski (COVID-19 protocols) will stay back in Buffalo when the team heads out on a three-game road trip, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tokarski has been cleared to resume practicing but will use the week to get his conditioning back up to 100 percent. With Malcolm Subban (lower body) nearing a return to action, Tokarski could find himself headed for the minors once given the all-clear to resume playing.

Tokarski was placed in COVID-19 protocols Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Tokarski will miss Thursday's contest in Florida while either Aaron Dell or Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen get the starting nod. The 32-year-old Tokarski will need to produce two negative tests before returning to action. The Sabres travel to Carolina to face the Hurricanes on Saturday.
