As expected, Grant was recalled from AHL Rochester on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Look for Grant to man the fourth-line center position in place of Nicolas Deslauriers, who is still picking up the nuances of defending down the middle. While Grant adds vigor to the bottom six and on the penalty kill, his lack of projected playing time makes him an unappealing fantasy option.

Grant may be joining the Sabres "soon," Paul Hamilton of WGR 550 reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Sabres already had a full 23-man roster when Grant was claimed off waivers Monday, but the team is searching for a fourth-line center and Grant is the best immediate option. Nicolas Deslauriers is holding that spot down at the moment, but he has very little experience playing center, and up until a few years ago was still playing defense. Grant has been a disappointment for the Sabres after an outstanding training camp, and has very minimal value in fantasy leagues.

Grant was sent to AHL Rochester on Monday, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old was claimed off waivers Monday, and only a few hours later he was sent down to the minors. With only four points in 41 games in the NHL, he hasn't produced much offensively this season.

Grant was claimed off waivers by Buffalo on Sunday, Pierre LeBrun of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Earlier this year the Predators claimed Grant after he was placed on waivers by the Sabres, and now the tables have turned and the forward will return to his starting point. In his previous stint in Buffalo, he only had three points in 35 games, so he won't likely do much in most fantasy leagues.

Grant was put on waivers on Sunday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The center is no stranger to the waiver wire considering he was claimed off waivers by the Predators earlier this season. With only four points this year in 41 games, he isn't much of a fantasy threat. If he goes unclaimed, he'll head to AHL Milwaukee.

Grant was claimed off waivers by the Predators on Wednesday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Grant was let go by the Sabres after producing a mere three assists in 35 games and struggling to a minus-3 rating. Before claiming Grant, the Predators were making a habit of shuffling Pontus Aberg about the organization's ranks, but with Grant now in tow, it won't be such slim pickings for coach Peter Laviolette down the middle. At 6-foot-3, Grant has a long reach, and he provided 27 goals in 36 games with AHL Stockton when he was with the Calgary system last season, so this could turn out to be a low-risk, high-reward snag for the Predators, assuming he buys into the system.

Grant was waived by the Sabres on Tuesday, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
EDGE Analysis
After winning a roster spot out of training camp and making a strong case to be the team's checking line center, Grant scored just three points in 35 games with a minus-3 rating. He's been largely ineffective and despite being short on centers, the Sabres have elected to waive him, likely for the purposes of assigning him to AHL Rochester. The 26-year-old has spent most of his career in the AHL, and he should provide a boost for the struggling Amerks. In the meantime, the Sabres have yet to make a call-up but it's assumed that they'll be giving other young forwards in the system a chance with the big club.

Grant recorded a first-period assist during Wednesday's loss to Ottawa.
EDGE Analysis
Grant received just 12:09 of ice time during the game, and he's registered just nine shots through the first 13 games of the season. His limited role and lack of offense makes the 26-year-old center a fantasy afterthought at this point.

Grant continues to impress at camp and could be named to the roster when the season starts, The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Grant and general manager Tim Murray have known each other since both were members of the Ottawa Senators organization, and Grant was signed this past summer to a one-year deal. The 6-foot-3 center has been consistently excellent in the AHL over the past two seasons, and though there's a logjam at center with Ryan O'Reilly, Jack Eichel, Zemgus Girgensons and Johan Larsson in the mix, there is a lineup spot available and carrying extra centers never hurt. Should Grant make the team, it'll likely be as the fourth-line center. Though he scored 45 points in 36 games for AHL Stockton last year, his fantasy upside in the NHL is limited.

Grant agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Sabres on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Last season, Grant shuffled between the Flames and minor-league affiliate AHL Stockton. He flaunted his scoring skills with the Heat, amassing an eye-popping 27 goals in 36 games. Listed at 6-foot-3, 202 pounds, the power forward has struggled to produce offensively in the NHL -- that much is evident from his output of three points in 40 games. Still, he's a nice depth option for a Sabres team growing offensively with center phenom Jack Eichel leading the charge toward respectability.
