David Ullstrom (concussion) is slated to participate in Monday's practice. He has been sidelined since Dec. 20 with a concussion. When Ullstrom is ready to return a slumping player, like Michael Grabner, could end up sitting as a healthy scratch. Grabner has no goals and only two assists in his past eight games.

David Ullstrom is out with a concussion that he sustained in Tuesday's shootout win over Winnipeg. He was forced to leave the contest in the final minute of overtime after attempting to hit Jets forward Andrew Ladd and catching an elbow to the face for his troubles. Ullstrom is out indefinitely now after falling awkwardly into the boards on the play. He has recorded two goals and two assists in 14 games with the Islanders.

David Ullstrom is projected to make his NHL debut on Monday. Ullstrom earned a chance to play with the Islanders after scoring 12 goals and 14 points in 17 AHL contests. Ullstrom is worth keeping an eye on, although we have a feeling that anyone watching the Islanders-Penguins contest on Monday will be more interested in what Sidney Crosby does.

David Ullstrom has been called up by the New York Islanders. He he tallied 12 goals and two assists in 17 games with AHL Bridgeport this campaign and is slated to be the lineup on Monday night versus Pittsburgh.
